Project Enlightenment may contact you for various reasons including workshop documents and occasional promotions.
Workshop Communications: Project Enlightenment emails all workshop related documents, links, and notices. Below are the details on what may be sent to you:
Virtual Workshop Communications: Participants will receive an additional email to the above-mentioned emails. It will contain:
If you do not receive these emails and links within 24 hours of the scheduled workshop, please email peworkshops@wcpss.net or call (919) 856-7774 x 27025
Special Notices: Project Enlightenment may send periodic informational emails (no more than 3 per year.) As always, we honor all requests to be removed from Project Enlightenment mailing lists.
Plan to arrive or log-on to your workshop a minimum of 10 minutes prior to the scheduled workshop time. This is to insure you are ready to go when the workshop begins and for virtual workshops, that your connectivity, microphone, and chat features are working properly. Please know that the presenter will begin promptly as scheduled and that workshops per WCPSS policy cannot be recorded by either the staff or participants.
Childcare is not provided. Please make other arrangements for your children when attending workshops.
Virtual Workshops: Inclement weather will not affect any virtual workshops - they will occur regardless of school cancelations or closings.
In-Person Workshops: Project Enlightenment is a part of the Wake County Public School System; if pubic schools are closed due to inclement weather Project Enlightenment in-person workshops will be canceled and rescheduled at a later date. To learn the make-up date, call the main office (919) 856-7774 during the week following the cancelation or check our website.
Project Enlightenment maintains a no refund policy unless a class or series is canceled by Project Enlightenment. In the event that a class or series is canceled, all participants will be notified.
Please note that all workshops are for parents/caregivers or educators of young children (the exact ages are listed in the workshop details). If you are an adult caring for/teaching children older than the ages listed, this may not be the workshop for you. If you would like to still attend, we ask that you hold all non age-related questions and comments until after the workshop has completed.
Virtual workshops use Google Meet. Please review the tips to get the most out of your experience:
In-Person Workshops: To receive credit for the workshop, the same person MUST ATTEND all the sessions of any workshop series and personally sign the roster/sign-in sheets.
Virtual Workshops: To receive credit for the workshop, each person MUST log-in individually, using the primary email address on the registration form. You must login to the workshop session through the Google Meet link sent to you via email (it is sent within 24 hours of the workshop time.) You will also need to enter your name into the chat wen requested by your presenter.
Perticipants who arrive/log-on more than 15 minutes late or leave/log-off more than 15 minutes early to educator workshops will not be elegible to receive credit for the workshop and, therefore will not receive a Certificate of Attendance. Those participants arriving late or leaving early, however, are still welcome to stay and gain the benefits of participating in the workshop. Make-up work may be available.
For those who attend the requisite amount of time for each workshop session or series, you will receive a Certificate of Attendance. The credits earned for each workshop are indicated on each certificate. Please note: you will only receive this certificate at the end of the workshop or series. This is the ONLY record of your attendance that you will receive, so please keep copies for your records. Find out more about Professional Development Credits including various types of certificates.
In-Person Workshops: Certificates will be handed out at the end of the in-person workshops; do not forget to pick yours up as we cannot mail them to you afterward.
Virtual Workshops: Upon completion of the workshop session, you will receive a Certificate of Attendance via email.
