Positive Solutions for Families Workshops are free one-hour 'learn during lunch' sessions designed for parents of Pre-K and Kindergarten students. Seven workshops are scheduled for the 2024-2025 school year, running from October 2024 through April 2025. Parents can sign up for individual sessions or multiple sessions based on their interests. All workshops will be conducted virtually via Google Meet. The workshop sessions offer valuable information and resources to help parents build strong, positive connections with their children. Topics include ideas for connecting with your child and others involved in their learning before, during, and after the kindergarten year, advocating for your child, supporting the curriculum at home, and best practices for parent-school partnerships. A one-hour presentation will be followed by 30 minutes for parent Q&A- please bring questions about supporting your family through the transition to kindergarten. Making the Connection: Welcome to the Positive Solutions for Families workshop series! This session will introduce the series. We will explore effective strategies for building strong connections with your child through positive encouragement and support. Our focus will be on promoting social and emotional development by understanding the important role families play in nurturing these skills.
