For teachers of young children 3 - kindergarten age Many times, teachers only utilize verbal communication to inform children. Often, that may not be enough to get or sustain a child's attention. Visual supports can provide an important concrete cue for helping ALL children understand, comprehend and process what is expected. This includes managing transitions, accomplishing tasks, following safety rules, sharing curriculum and more. Offering visual supports can be a proactive strategy to help teachers and children manage their day. Join us to gain information and ideas on how to utilize visual supports effectively and efficiently in the preschool classroom. Please Note: This workshop takes place in the Demonstration Preschool Classroom to allow for a better understanding of how teachers can utilize the visual supports. This workshop qualifies for 2 Staff Development Literacy Hours of Credit and 0.2 CEU's of Literacy Credit. This workshop will also occur in the spring of 2025.
